The location of the hotel is excellent, especially for accessing transportation, like the sea coach. The amenities provided were fantastic; the fridge, air conditioning, washing machine, and microwave were very convenient. The inclusion of plug adapters in the room was helpful. The hotel was impeccably clean, both inside the rooms and throughout the premises. The cleaning staff did an exceptional job. The customer service was also very good. Although we didn't initially receive the exact room we booked, the hotel staff were accommodating. During our stay, we met Raymond, one of the managers, who took the time to introduce himself and chat with us. While there was another manager who assisted us in changing rooms, he didn't introduce himself. However, he was helpful and a nice guy. The breakfast menu could offer more variety, especially for guests staying longer. We mentioned this to Raymond, and he mentioned that it's something they're working on. Unfortunately, breakfast couldn't be delivered to the room, but you could pick it up from the restaurant. The pool was enjoyable, but having a lifeguard nearby for safety would be beneficial. Security was top-notch with 24/7 coverage. Both the bellboys and security staff were commendable, deserving of better pay and breaks during their long shifts. The restaurant staff, especially Sulieman, provided excellent service. While I can't recall everyone's names, the cleaners, bellboys, and security personnel truly contribute to the hotel's ambiance. Nassim, the food and beverage supervisor, was also great, and the complimentary desserts were a nice touch. Compared to other nearby hotels, The Lead Hotel sets a high standard. I'll definitely return, especially when the hotel expands. Raymond, I'll eagerly await an invitation to the rooftop bar's opening.

The hotel was exceptional. Firstly, we have to commend the staff, from reception, security, restaurant staff, staff by the pool, domestic staff. Everyone we came across was friendly, professional, and courteous. We couldn't fault them at all. The room... We stayed in an executive suite, it was spacious, well decorated and modern. Having travelled from the UK, it had a home away from home feel about it. Inside the room, there was a lovely open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with a comfy sofa and a good size TV. The kitchen had plenty of cupboard space, a hob, sink, a full-size fridge, a coffee machine with a couple of coffee pods, and a washing machine. Outside of the room, there was a terrace area which also adjoined the bedroom. I love to sit outside as the sun comes up and drink my coffee. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant and a lovely poor area with a poolside bar. The hotel provided pool towels, plenty of sunbeds, and umbrellas. The place also generally felt safe. There was enough staff around to tend to our needs. We loved our stay and would recommend staying for at least a week.

The hotel is not fully open yet but this does not distract from the high standards of accommodation or the dining and relaxing facilities offered. We had an executive suite overlooking the pool with a view over Man of War Bay beyond. Both the lounge/dining room and the bedroom were very large and extremely well decorated. A large picture window overlooked the pool and could be partially opened. Aircon was most effective. The pool area was extremely well maintained and the water was just the right temperature to make it easy to enter but also to provide relieve from the heat. The rooftop restaurant provided both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside as the evening temperature was just right at about 22c.There was a very good choice of food served by very friendly waiters.

Excellent and innovative owners, with a superb staff at their disposal. Predictably friendly and helpful, but they will cater to your every need. They are expanding and ever increasing their services, taking a well thought out path. If you have not travelled to Sierra Leone or Liberia before, their is a prefixed stigma attached. People need to understand that these are beautiful countries with an incredibly friendly population. Safety is not an issue, just use basic level common sense, like any other city in the world. Fact is your safer in Freetown than you are Glasgow on a weekend or 40% of the city at anytime! Proud Glaswegian, and come from those areas but that is factual. Would highly recommend The Lead Hotel and Ftown. R. Glasgow

The Lead Hotel is amazing and we highly recommend staying there. It is nicely located by the beach, very clean, with all amenities of high quality. All staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. We would like to send special thanks to Mohamed S, who works in reception. He was always very professional and went extra mile to help with our requests, including last minute vehicle booking and extending our stay. He made sure that we were welcome and safe. Abdul Karim, working at the bar pool, has been great with our daughter and is very kind. Our driver, Alpha, acted also as a security guard for us, to ensure we are safe and gave us a lot of useful advice. The managers were present on site, in case we had any queries.
